Manta Rays In The Night

It’s dark now and I start hearing this slapping sound. At first I thought it was the waves lapping up against the boat closest to me. Then I realized it was small manta rays that I had seen when I came into the bay. They’re feeding on something I’m guessing. It’s such a  surreal evening out here under a beautiful luminous half moon directly overhead surrounded by 7 other boats. The anchor lights atop the mast drifting  back and forth and to and fro in the rolling swell while manta rays jump and crash into the water making a loud smack! Never seen such things before!
